Independent Living
Independent Living is the privacy and freedom of home combined with the convenience and security of on-call assistance and a maintenance-free environment. Our communities offer active seniors choices about how they want to live. There are also lifestyle choices: a full schedule of activities; a selection of meal plans; and options for personalized services to meet a resident's particular needs.
Assisted Living
For seniors who want a little support or the opportunity to meet new friends, our assisted living communities focus on wellness and helping residents to maintain their independence.
Sunrise's assisted living options offer personalized assistance, supportive services and compassionate care in a professionally managed, carefully designed, community setting. This includes assistance with day-to-day tasks, such as bathing, personal hygiene and medication assistance.
Memory Care
Offering a fresh approach to Alzheimer's, we begin with understanding the stories and details of a senior's life, so that we can help them attain what we call "pleasant days". This means finding ways to involve residents in everyday activities in specially designed surroundings that are both safe and stimulating. In a separate and secure environment, our life skill stations and Snoezelen Care allows us to join our residents in their journey with dementia or Alzheimer disease, and support them in maintaining dignity and quality of life.
Catering to the needs of seniors with Alzheimer's and other memory impairments can be challenging, but Sunrise has created an option that works - innovative and effective programs with multiple levels of support, and unique and extensive staff hiring and training practices to ensure residents receive high quality care. Support is also available to family caregivers through our support groups and other resources.
Short-term and Respite Stays
Whether you want to get away on a vacation, a business trip, or require a short break from caring for a senior loved one, we're pleased to offer short-term (respite) stays at Sunrise Senior Living communities.
Convalescence or respite stays are also an option for seniors needing extra assistance after a hospital visit or during an illness. Many of our long-term residents also choose to begin their lives with us by evaluating our community through short-term stays.
Aging-In-Place
Sunrise's unique model provides an alternative to nursing homes. Our Wellness Service Coordinators and Care Managers provide a quality environment that can accommodate high acuity levels, including palliative care*.
