Sunrise at Lonsdale Square

Can't say enough about how happy we are about having my mom in reminiscence care, and my aunt in long term care. They are both so well looked after, and both doing amazingly well. After months in hospital, my mom improved dramatically after she moved into Sunrise Lonsdale Square. They are responsive to inquiries and super helpful with ideas and suggestions about care for both my mom and my aunt. Thank you so much to Walter and all the fantastic staff there!

I want to thank everyone for all the help and assistance with my relative's move into Sunrise on October 3rd. There were many welcome’s and offers of help, and it is greatly appreciated by both the family. The family dinner was lovely, and the chef was so helpful with our special requests. The private room was beautifully set and the family members all enjoyed the experience. The staff are very attentive, and took special care to introduce themselves by name - and the clear name tags are a great help to a new resident. Thank-you again to ALL the staff for the fine introduction to Sunrise and the on-going care!

We moved my mom to sunrise lonsdale square a month ago. We were at Amica lionsgate for a year previously. I’m so happy with sunrise in every way. It’s a huge change from Amica. There’s so much more activities and fun on the memory care floor. Every single staff member is amazing and goes above and beyond. The location is great. The building is so beautiful. The food is wonderful. I feel so relieved knowing my mom is being cared for by such caring and loving people. I often have tears of joy when I visit. The entire Sunrise team have been welcoming, responsive and accommodating to our resident family member and family. The suites, meals, facilities, services and activities are all top notch. I thank my lucky stars every day for the opening of Sunrise at Lonsdale Square just when we needed it.

My mom moved into Sunrise Lonsdale Square 3 months ago and we are so happy that she is there. It is a beautiful community and property and the staff are wonderful. There are many activities offered (painting, music, bingo, exercise, lectures and movies etc.) and my 90 year old mom has never been so busy! She also gets out every day with the walking group, even though she needs to be pushed in a chair. It is very comforting for all of us to know that she is so well cared for.

My father lived at Sunrise for his last time here on earth and received the most caring care from extremely competent staff. They accommodated his dietary requirements and preferences, spent plenty of one on one time with him, were extremely responsive to his needs and kept me informed at all times of his condition. The process of moving in went smoothly and management was able to respond quickly and efficiently to all my queries. I really liked that there were lots of cozy spaces to hang out and connect as well as larger spaces for groups to gather and enjoy each other. Thank you Sunrise for providing a much needed facility to care for our loved ones in a safe and warmhearted manner.

The people at Sunrise Lonsdale are fantastic. There are so many ways that they went above and beyond to make my father comfortable and welcome. My father is diabetic and in memory care. They arranged a personal visit with the Chef so I could discuss his diet, which they responded to with special diabetic Ice cream and cookies, as well as low keto midnight snacks for him. When we were moving him in, they were able suggest furniture and layouts to maximize his personal room which was a huge stress reducer for me. The activity coordinator volunteered to take him for walks. They curated activities special and personal for him. For instance, when he became bedridden, someone sat with him and read him a book. Every single person at Sunrise knew all of our family's names when we came to visit. This place is like a five-star hotel. With enormous patios, huge sunlight filled windows, high quality furnishings and wall-to-wall carpeting that is designed to cushion elderly falls. Security for wandering elders (on memory care wards) is absolutely top-notch and subtle enough that they never know their exit has been thwarted. When he was in Lionsgate Hospital, two Sunrise nurses came to visit him there. When my dear father was passing away, the doctor gave me her PERSONAL number and told me to phone her any time day or night. WHO DOES THAT these days? Sunrise has kept contact with our family through this difficult time and offered us personal condolences and sent flowers to all the immediate family members who reside in different parts of the province. If I could give them 10 stars I would. You won't go wrong sending your loved one into their arms.

I am more than happy that my 101 year old mother is now living in Sunrise at Lonsdale Square. The beautiful suites and impressive amenities are second only to the caring and professional staff.

Brand new building, beautifully appointed. On staff musician, outdoor spaces, very safe for the elderly. My father in law stayed here and was very well taken care of by a competent staff.
