Sunrise of Thornhill

We found this place to be best fitting to leave our mom in their care. In meeting with Monique & Janel we came to believe that we had found the the right fit for our mom and her needs. We got to know of their high level of care, personalized attention rendered to each resident and of the vast range of programs/activities they provide for their residents. The staff are amazing and our interaction with them, throughout, was heartwarming, welcoming and assuring. We highly recommend this facility full heartedly.

Sunrise Senior Living has been a wonderful support for my family. It is never easy making the life decision to move from your family home to a retirement residence. My parents recently moved to independent living at Sunrise and are thriving. They are enjoying the ease of living at Sunrise, the friendly staff and the other residents. The new beautiful renovation is uplifting and youthful. Thank you Monique, Elihja, Chef Chris and the whole Sunrise team for your support. I highly recommend the Sunrise Thornhill community.

First, I need to start off by saying, every single member of Sunrise Thornhill is absolutely incredible. They are the most welcoming, caring, genuine and passionate team and I am so grateful for the experience I’ve had here. From the first interaction (phone conversation) to current (with constant updates from the amazing staff), I have nothing to say but amazing things about this home and the people who run it. From the moment I met Elihja and Monique, I knew this was the right place for my father. Making this decision, as a very young lady who has been the primary caregiver for her father with early onset dementia, has been the most difficult thing I’ve ever had to endure and when I reached out in desperate need of help, Monique made sure that they would do anything they could to help me. She was SO accommodating, to the point where within a week, my father was moved in, getting the care and attention he needs to thrive in this stage of his life. Monique and everyone at Sunrise made me feel so comfortable from the second I walked into the home, listening to all my thoughts, concerns and feelings and validating each and every one of them. I expressed concerns about being away from my dad, although I knew it would be the best decision for him and the care offered here would increase his quality of life, and to ease my mind Monique and Rosa will call me (almost daily) with updates/pictures/videos of my dad thriving. My worries are slowly starting to dissipate and all credit is given to the staff at Sunrise, especially Monique, Rosa and Elihja. I’m truly grateful for everything they have done and are continuing to do for me and my dad. Choosing Sunrise is the best and right choice.

I was in contact with Raquita, a senior resource counselor. She was so nice and such a wealth of information. If the rest of the staff are as good as Raquita, you will be in good hands. It sounds like a great place to live
